Volleyball Splits At PSU Brandywine Tri-Match

MEDIA, PA (Sept. 17, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Volleyball team improved to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in PSUAC play after dropping match one to PSU Brandywine 3-0 but defeating PSU Schuylkill 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Media.

In the first match of the day against PSU Brandywine, Lehigh Valley kept each set close (set one 25-22, set two 25-18, set three 25-23) but could not pull off the victory. Freshman Ebony Sanders had a team-high 9 kills. Teammate Darleenn Altema-Bouzi contributed with 6 kills and freshman Shellbie Yard chipped in with 12 assists.

In the final match of the day against PSU Schuylkill, Lehigh Valley bounced back to dominate each of the three sets winning 25-13, 25-7 and 25-14. Sanders again proved to be a force at the net recording 7 kills. Altema-Bouzi chipped in with 5 kills.

Lehigh Valley will travel to Penn State Mont Alto Sunday for another PSUAC tri-match set for 2PM and 4 PM.
