ST. MARY'S CITY, MD (November 10 & 11, 2023) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball opened their 2023-2024 season going 1-1 at the Jamie L. Roberts Memorial Tournament hosted by St. Mary's of Maryland.
In game 1 on Friday night, Lehigh Valley fell to host St. Mary's of Maryland, 60-48. Aaliyah Crozier led with a double-double 12 points and 17 rebounds.
In the consolation game on Saturday, Lehigh Valley defeated Trinity University DC, 88-63. Three Lehigh Valley players were in double figures led by Hillary Offing with 22 points and 17 rebounds. Nia Newman added 21 points, going 9 for 9 from the free throw line and twin sister, Naila Newman, chipped in with 10 points.
Aaliyah Crozier was named to the All-Tournament team.
Lehigh Valley will travel a short distance to Allentown to take on Cedar Crest College on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
