MONACA, PA (March 1, 2023) - This was a PSUAC Women's Basketball Semifinal for the books. #2 Penn State Lehigh Valley upsetted host #1 Penn State Beaver 44-43 in nailbiting fashion. Lehigh Valley led for the entire game until Beaver's Makitah Logan hit a jumper with 16 seconds left, putting Beaver up 43-42. After a Beaver timeout, Lehigh Valley would have possession and this is where Sage Christopher hit the biggest shot of her career off of a Chanelle Lee's miss, Christopher was in position to put the offensive rebound back in with 2.8 seconds left giving Lehigh Valley the 44-43 lead. Beaver called another timeout and advanced the ball to half court for one last opportunity. Chanelle Lee had a great defensive play by blocking Makitah Logan's last second shot to secure the win for Lehigh Valley and send them back to the PSUAC Championship this Monday, March 6th at the Bryce Jordan Center - University Park for a 3:45 PM tip-off against eastern conference foe Penn State Schuylkill.
