Five PSULV Basketball Seniors Honored at Stabler Arena
Penn State Lehigh Valley Athletics Department recognized and honored five seniors for their hard work, commitment, and dedication to the Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's & Men's Basketball Programs on Saturday at Stabler Arena.
 
Taz Moore, who was escorted by her mom Shannon. Taz has been a member of the Women's Basketball program for 2 seasons, transferring from Passaic County Community College. Moore, who sat out part of her junior season due to injury, played in 17 games that year helping the team qualify for PSUAC playoffs. This season Moore, who has started in 9 out of 14 games, is a dominating force on the boards giving Lehigh Valley size & strength in the paint. Taz was also a member of the PSULV Volleyball team the last 2 seasons. Taz will graduate from Penn State with a degree in Arts Administration and plans to start her art career at a local museum. Taz is a graduate of Barringer High School and is from Brooklyn NY.
 
Taylor Styles, who was escorted by her mom Elise and girlfriend Tyler. Taylor has been a member of the Women's Basketball program for 2 seasons, transferring from Lackawanna College. Styles appeared in 12 games during her junior season compiling 132 points in one semester. This season, Taylor has started in 15 out of 19 games and is 2nd on the team in scoring, averaging 11 points per game. She is currently 57 points away from surpassing the 1,000 point mark for her career. Taylor will graduate from Penn State with a degree in Rehab & Human Services and looking forward to a job in that field. Taylor is a graduate of William Allen High School and from Allentown.
 
Kristin Curry, who was escorted by her mom Kathy and her dad Frank. Kristin has been a committed & dedicated member of the PSULV Women's Basketball program for 4 seasons, compiling a total 393 points and being one of the top defenders on the team and in the conference. In each of Kristin's seasons, she helped her team qualify for PSUAC playoffs including being apart of the 2018-2019 Championship team. For her outstanding academic achievements, Kristin was named PSUAC All-Academic 4 times and has made the Dean's List. Kristin will graduate from Penn State with a degree in Rehab & Human Services and has hopes to go to graduate school after graduation. Kristin is a graduate of Mercy High School and from Baltimore, MD.
 
Anaya White, who was escorted by her mom Millie and her dad Gerald. Anaya has been an intricate member of the women's basketball program for 4 seasons, compiling a win-loss total of 74 wins and 23 losses. Anaya has been one of the teams most versatile players, compiling 609 points & being ranked one of the top rebounders in the PSUAC with over 540 rebounds up to this point. In each of Anaya's seasons, she helped her team qualify for the PSUAC playoffs every year including 2 appearances in PSUAC Championship games. Helping her team to the programs first ever PSUAC Championship and school best 24 straight wins in her sophomore season. Anaya will graduate from Penn State with a degree in Rehab & Human Services and is planning to start working at juvenile detention center and then move on to something more hands on within in the rehabilitation field. Anaya is a graduate of Stroudsburg High School and from Newark, NJ.
 
Demond Farley, who was escorted by his family. Demond has been a member of the Men's Basketball program for 1 and ½ seasons, transferring from Northampton Community College. Farley appeared in 12 games his junior season and compiled 161 points in that semester. This season, Demond has started in all 18 games for PSULV and is averaging 9 points per game for the Lions. Demond will graduate from Penn State with a degree in Corporate Communications and will explore several different options post graduation within that field. Demond of Freedom High School and from Allentown.
