Women's Basketball Improves to 8-3, Downs Northampton Community College 81-71

BETHLEHEM, PA (December 7, 2021) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team turned up the pressure in the 2nd half to down host Northampton Community College, 81-71, in a wild non-conference match up on Tuesday evening in Bethlehem. With the win, the Lions improve to 8-3 overall. 

In a game that saw a combined 64 free throws, 71 turnovers and 54 fouls committed, despite the game stoppages, Lehigh Valley trailed 34-32 at the half but came out in the 2nd half outscoring the Spartans 49-37. Eight players scored for Lehigh Valley led by Jah'nel Oliver with a game-high 28 points. Taylor Styles added 13 points and Korrina Plair chipped in with 10 points. 

Lehigh Valley will have 2 more games before finals, starting this Friday against PSUAC foe Penn State Greater Allegheny at 6 PM and Saturday against PSUAC opponent Penn State DuBois at 1 PM, both games will be played at Northampton Community College Monroe Campus (Tannersville, PA)
