CAMDEN, NJ (Nov. 7, 2021) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball opened the season 2-0 after a 77-61 routing of non-conference opponent Rutgers University-Camden Sunday afternoon in South Jersey.
Lehigh Valley started the game off strong and went into halftime leading 36-19. In the 3rd quarter, Rutgers-Camden started to catch up, but Lehigh Valley came back swinging and ended winning by 16 points. Twelve player got in the scoring column for Lehigh Valley, led by Samantha Columna with 14 points and Taylor Styles with 10 points.
Lehigh Valley will play this Friday and Saturday at Gwynedd Mercy University for 6 PM tip-off against Gwynedd Mercy and 12 PM (consolation) or 2 PM (championship) on Saturday against either Messiah College or Salisbury University.
