Women's Basketball Splits Out West

February 8, 2016 - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball travelled to western PA this past weekend to take on Penn State Fayette on Saturday and Penn State DuBois on Sunday. With the split, Lehigh Valley improves to 13-6 overall and 10-3 in PSUAC play. Lehigh Valley is currently in 3rd place in PSUAC standings with one crucial conference game remaining before final seedings go out.

Lehigh Valley dropped game 1 to PSU Fayette, 86-79. Sophomore Andrea Watkins led Lehigh Valley with 22 points. Freshman Gia Erie recorded 15 points.

On Sunday, Lehigh Valley bounced back to route PSU DuBois, 85-65. Five players were in double figures, led by sophomore Hannah Bankes with 25 points. Sophomore Andrea Watkins recorded 15 points. Lizzy Leiby, Ashley Gordon and Nikita Brady all chipped in with 12 points.

Lehigh Valley will host its final PSUAC doubleheader game Tuesday, February 9th against PSU Mont Alto at Cedar Crest College.  Women will tip-off at 6 PM, followed by men at 8 PM.
