CENTER VALLEY, PA (September 5, 2023) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Soccer team opened the 2023 season with a convincing 4-1 win over visiting Lehigh Carbon Community College on a hot Tuesday afternoon in Center Valley. 

Lehigh Valley's Giovanni Gines scored the first goal of the game on an assist by Abraham Hernandez in the 1st half, going into halftime tied up 1-1. Lehigh Valley would put LCCC away by scoring three second half goals.  Jerod Younes scored at the 67 minute mark followed by two Freddy Issa goals to give PSULV their first victory of the season.

Lehigh Valley will travel to non-conference opponent Manor College on Saturday for a noon kick-off.
