Men's Basketball Down Defending Conference Champs PSU Mont Alto

ALLENTOWN, PA (Dec. 6, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Basketball team took full advantage of their home crowd energy to upset the defending PSUAC champions PSU Mont Alto, 71-66, Tuesday evening at Cedar Crest College. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 4-3 on the season and 2-2 in PSUAC play.

Lehigh Valley held a 1 point halftime lead, 39-38. With the game back and forth for the full 40 minutes, Lehigh Valley had crucial baskets from AJ Molettiere and Jordan Young down the stretch to seal the victory. 

Jordan Young led Lehigh Valley with 17 points. AJ Molettiere chipped in with 16, shooting 4-10 from three.  Lehigh Valley dominated the boards outrebounding Mont Alto 57-35. Jonathan Buie had 10 rebounds and Othneil Nyamekya grabbed 11 rebounds.

Lehigh Valley will have one more conference game before the 1st semester comes to an end when they travel to PSU Wilkes Barre on Friday night.
