Men's Basketball Falls to Penn State Beaver in PSUAC Action

ALLENTOWN, PA (Dec. 7, 2015) - Despite having four players in double digits, the Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Basketball team dropped a PSUAC conference match-up to visiting Penn State Beaver, 103-80, Sunday afternoon at Cedar Crest College.

Senior Brandon Holland and junior Jordan Young both recorded 16 points a piece.  Sophomore sharpshooter Kenny Leger contributed 15 points including 5 for 9 from three point range.  Senior Tyler Krchnavi chipped in with 11 points and a team-high 8 rebounds.  

Beaver started the first half on fire, shooting 57% from the field compared to Lehigh Valley's 32% to take a 58-29 lead at half.  Lehigh Valley would rally in the second half turning up the defensive pressure and offensive effort to bring the game within ten, 73-63, behind a Kenny Leger 3 point shot with 9:15 left.  Beaver would answer with their own run to secure the road win. Lehigh Valley shot 64% from the field and a season-high 54% from the 3 (7-13) to outscore Beaver 51-45 in the second half. 

Lehigh Valley will be right back in action Tuesday, Dec. 8th for a doubleheader with host Penn State Brandywine. The women's game will tip off at 6 PM, followed by the men at 8 PM.
