Blaine Silfies Jr. will begin his first season as Assistant Head Coach of the PSU-LV soccer program.  Silfies was a volunteer for last years club team and has been a supporter of Penn State sports for as long as he can remember.  He has experience coaching as a volunteer, assistant and head coach for rec and travel U-16 and U-18 teams.  Silfies is also on the board of the West End Soccer League, his local rec league.

Silfies has been passionate about soccer ever since his son, Elijah who currently attends PSU-LV, started playing 5 years ago.  “Soccer is the only sport I follow now and I study it every chance I get”, says Silfies.  Silfies hopes to bring what he has learned so far and combine it with the other coaches knowledge to help this team grow.

Silfies states that his goal is “to not only make better players on the field but better people off the field”.
