Brian Exton has been Head Golf Coach at Penn State Lehigh Valley since the fall of 2013.  His team recently captured the 2019 PSUAC Championship, and he was named "Coach of the Year" by his peers.  Exton also led the program to back-to-back PSUAC Championships in 2014 and 2015.  In 2017 the team placed second after an exciting 10-man playoff hole.  Coach Exton is a left-handed golfer, and plays to a 6 handicap.

Before coming to Penn State, Exton was an Assistant Professor of Geology at Cedar Crest College from 2001 to 2012.  He has also worked as a professional photographer for Colonial Williamsburg, vacation tour guide in New England and Costa Rica, high school science teacher, field paleontologist for the Royal Ontario Museum’s expeditions to the Burgess Shale in 1995 and 1996, and education specialist for the Challenger Center and NASA’s Galileo mission to Jupiter.

Coach Exton attended the College of William & Mary and completed graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin.  He is married with three children, and resides in Macungie.
