MaryAnn Rush Wallace joins Penn State Lehigh Valley as the Coordinator of Athletic Programs. In this role, she will be responsible for PSUAC and USCAA compliance, athletic budgets, and student-athlete retention. Prior to Penn State Lehigh Valley, Rush Wallace worked in business, athletics, and higher education. A few of her higher education appointments include: California University of Pennsylvania, Lehigh University, and Ancilla Domini College in Donaldson, Indiana. While at Ancilla, she served as Assistant Sports Information Director, Assistant to the Athletic Director, and Head Cheer Coach. She elevated the cheer program by bolstering recruiting efforts and starting the college's first competition squad. In addition to leading the cheer team to strive for excellence in athletic and academic aspects, Rush Wallace sought to instill a sense of community in her student-athletes, by taking part in service projects such as working closely with the Sojourner Truth House, an organization that aids homeless and at-risk women and their children.

In addition to her experience working in higher education, Rush Wallace has obtained a Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University. While at WVU, she was a part of the NCAA Division I West Virginia University cheer team. Rush Wallace continued her education and cheer experience at California University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Exercise Science. Rush Wallace earned a Doctorate in Education Administration with a specialization in Athletic Administration from Northcentral University. Her dissertation is entitled:Qualitative Case Studies on Injury, Class Performance, and Stressors Contributing to Depression among Collegiate Student-Athletes.

Rush Wallace lives in the Lehigh Valley with her husband and their two dogs.
