Scott Cullen Tabbed As New Head Women's Soccer Coach

PSU-LV Athletics Would like to Welcome New Head Women's Soccer Coach, Scott Cullen, to the Lehigh Valley Nittany Lion Athletic Department!!

Scott Cullen enters his first season as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Penn State Lehigh valley. Scott comes to us with an immense amount of experience within the soccer community. A native of Derry, NH Cullen found his way to Division 2 Chowan University in Murfreesboro, NC.. A 4 year member of the Mens Soccer team, in 2010 he was ranked, as a goalkeeper, 3rd in the Nation for saves and save percentage. Scott earned his B.S in Exercise Science and after his playing career, Scott coached at his Alma mater as an assistant to both Men and women programs. In 2014, Cullen moved to Pennsylvania when he started the Northampton Community College women's soccer program. Afte 4 seasons, with an overall record of 18-29-2, a 2017 conference championship, and making the region tournament, Scott was named EPAC coach of the year in 2017. In 2018, Scott focused on youth soccer in the Valley. After winning several tournaments with boys teams ranging from u10-u13 with FC Steel, Scott formed New Wave Training to provide personal trainings for goalkeepers and field players. Cullen remarked, "I am excited to join the Penn State family, to get started forming a motivated group of young women to compete every day on and off the pitch and creating a great atmosphere for our community." Scott currently resides in Northampton, Pa with his wife Kayla and dog Kona.
