Cross Country Opens 2015 Season at PSU Greater Allegheny Open

MCKEESPORT, PA (Sept. 12, 2015) - The Penn State Men's & Women's Cross Country teams opened their 2015 season by competing in the Penn State Greater Allegheny Open.  

Freshman Anthony Siguenza made his running debut for the Lehigh Valley Lions with an 8K time of 30:23, placing 4th out of PSUAC runners and 13th overall out of 63 competitors.  Freshman John Meyer ran 31:41 in his first collegiate invitational placing 6th out of PSUAC runners and 15th overall.  Sophomore Jacob Srock ran 35:01 for the Lions placing him 37th overall.  Sophomore James Maxwell wrapped up the Lehigh Valley men's runners with a time of 40:48.  

On the women's side, sophomore Ashley Ramirez and junior Emeline Placencia, ran 34:07 and 34:08 in their 5K race.

Penn State Lehigh Valley is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the PSU Brandywine Invitational
