Tim Lutterschmidt has been hired as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Penn State Lehigh Valley since the fall 2018 season. Lutterschmidt has lead the Lions Volleyball team to playoffs for the last 4 seasons. He has coached mutiple PSUAC All-Conference performers in addition to a PSUAC Player of the Year. 

Lutterschmidt has been teaching US History at William Allen High School since 1997 and has been the Head Boys’ Volleyball Coach at Allen High School since 2002. In May 2023, Lutterschmidt received the Special Contributor's Athletic Award from William Allen High School.  

He has coached competitive club-level volleyball at AVA, Crosscourt and Synergy volleyball clubs.  He has mainly coached 13s to instruct and perfect skill techniques.  At the 15s and 16s level, Lutterschmidt coached and traveled to national invitational tournaments as far west as Minneapolis, Minnesota.  

Lutterschmidt attended and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from East Stroudsburg University.  

He is married with two daughters who attend Jefferson University and resides in Whitehall, PA.
