Women's Volleyball Drops Two At LCCC Tri-Match. Ebony Sanders led with 13 Kills

SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (Sept. 1, 2018) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Volleyball team dropped two non-conference matches at the Lehigh Carbon Community College Tri-Match. The Lions opened the season with a 0-2 start. 

In the first match of the afternoon, Lehigh Valley dropped 3 sets with the scores od 25-10, 25-15 and 25-19 to Rowan College of Burlington County. Junior Ebony Sanders led Lehigh Valley with 5 kills, 3 service aces and 7 digs. Freshman Adriana Leon chipped in with 3 assists.

In the second match-up against Lehigh Carbon Community College, the sets were close and competitive but Lehigh Valley fell in 3 with scores of 25-16, 27-25 and 25-20. Junior Ebony Sanders led with 8 kills and 10 digs. Senior Natasha Leon contributed with 7 service aces and 5 digs. 

First year head coach Tim Lutterschmidt and squad will have time to refocus and get ready for their non-conference match-up on Monday, Sept. 10th when they travel to Union County Community College for a 7 PM start.
