Lutterschmidt To Head Women's Volleyball Program

CENTER VALLEY, PA (July 23, 2018) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Department of Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Tim Lutterschmidt as their new Head Women's Volleyball Coach. Lutterschmidt is currently a US History teacher at William Allen High School since 1997 and has been the Head Boys' Volleyball Coach at Allen High School since 2002. Lutterschmidt brings a ton of coaching experience on all levels to the Nittany Lions, he has coached competitive club level volleyball at AVA, Crosscourt and Synergy Volleyball clubs the last several years. Lutterschmidt attended and earned his undergrad and graduate degrees from East Stoudsburg Univeristy. He is married with two daughters and resides in Whitehall, PA.  Lutterschmidt will take over a program that went 12-11 overall last season with a 8-8 PSUAC record and qualified for the PSUAC playoffs under coach Joanie Guman-Troutman. Junior power hitter, Ebony Sanders, who was named PSUAC 1st Team All-Conference, will be returning to the line-up. Lutterschmidts PSULV coaching debut will be on Tuesday, August 28th when the Nittany Lions travel to Northampton Community College to take on the Spartans at 6 PM.
