Guman-Troutman Named PSU-LV Women's Volleyball Coach

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Athletics Department has announced the hiring of Joanie Guman Troutman as the campus' new head women's volleyball coach.

Previously, Troutman has coached on various levels such as middle school teams and college level clubs.

Troutman, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, is a 2009 graduate of Penn State with a bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences. At Penn State, Troutman was a member of the women's volleyball team. She contributed to the 2005 and 2006 Big Ten Championship teams; was a 2005 NCAA Sweet Sixteen participant; and a 2006 NCAA Elite Eight participant. Troutman was also the recipient of the 2006 Penn State University Women's Volleyball Coaches Award. Before playing collegiately, Troutman played volleyball on the Allentown Central Catholic high school team.

Troutman is looking forward to returning to the Penn State community.

"I'm excited to be joining the Penn State Lehigh Valley family and hopefully bringing lots of success as a team on the court," said Troutman.
