Volleyball Drops Match to Top Ranked PSU Brandywine, 3-0

ALLENTOWN, PA (Oct. 4, 2016) - Despite a great effort and close sets, the Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Volleyball team came up short against top-ranked PSUAC opponent PSU Brandywine, 3-0, Tuesday evening at Cedar Crest College.

Set one proved to be a nail biter with the scoring going back and forth to the end until PSU Brandywine pulled away with a 26-24 set victory. Set two was another close set but Brandywine would prevail 25-20 and set three proved the same with Brandywine winning 25-13 to take the match victory.  With the loss, Lehigh Valley drops to 7-4 overall and 5-3 in PSUAC play.

Lehigh Valley will have a busy weekend when they travel to non-conference PSU Abington Saturday afternoon to compete in a Tri-Match and then on Sunday traveling to PSU Scranton for a PSUAC showdown before going into their final week of regular season play. Lehigh Valley is in the hunt for a PSUAC playoff spot where the top 6 teams advance.
