Women's Basketball Remains Lone Unbeaten in PSUAC, Blows By PSU Hazleton, 70-42

HAZLETON, PA (February 5, 2022) - Hazleton's seven game winning streak dating back to 2021 came to an abrupt end Tuesday night following a 70-42 defeat on their home court at the hands of Penn State Lehigh Valley. Lehigh Valley's talent and depth gave the Nittany Lions fits all evening, resulting in Hazleton shooting just 20.9 percent from the field and being forced into 26 turnovers in the loss.

Lehigh Valley led wire to wire in Tuesday night's PSUAC matchup, jumping out to a double-digit lead by the midway point of the first quarter and never looked back as Hazleton struggled to produce enough offense to keep pace. Twelve Lehigh Valley players broke into the scoring column including three players in double-figures. Taylor Styles led all players in the game with 12 points while Samantha Columna and Chanelle Lee with 10 points each respectively.

Lehigh Valley will host senior night this Saturday, February 5th at 6 PM at Stabler Arena.
