WILKES BARRE, PA (January 14, 2022) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team opened 2022 in winning fashion downing host PSAUC opponent PSU Wilkes Barre, 72-20, Friday evening in Wilkes Barre. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 11-3 overall and 8-0 in PSUAC play. This was the teams first game in 63 days due to some early January game cancellations.
Down 7 players due to COVID protocol, Lehigh Valley had enough fire power to hold a 28-6 halftime lead and explode in the 2nd half, outscoring Wilkes Barre 44-15. Every player for Lehigh Valley scored led by freshman Chanelle Lee with 12 points. Junior Jah'nel Oliver chipped in with 11 points.
Lehigh Valley will travel to PSU Schulylkill on Thursday, January 20th for the battle of the PSUAC unbeatens.
