Women's Basketball Advances to PSUAC Semifinals, Wins 21 Straight & Ebony Sanders Scores Her 1,000 Career Point

ALLENTOWN, PA (Feb. 19, 2019) - Their was a lot to celebrate on Tuesday evening inside Lees Hall on the campus of Cedar Crest College.  The #1 Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team advanced to the PSUAC Semfinals with a 109-41 win over #4 Penn State Scranton.  The team continues to make history as they have won 21 straight games.  The team also celebrated junior Ebony Sanders surpassing the 1,000 point milestone, becoming the 4th Women's Basketball player in school history to do so and 6th overall. Sanders received a pass from sophomore Rebecca Fuerher at the end of the 1st quarter to hit the 1K mark. Sanders went on to record a double double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. 

Freshman Ally Quinn had a game high 23 points. Freshman teammates, Kion Andrews and Jah'nel Oliver, added 22 points and 21 points. Sophomore Makayla Brown-Paul found her rhythm beyond the arc scoring 12 points. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 22-2 and will welcome #3 PSU Fayette on Friday evening at 7 PM at Cedar Crest College for the PSUAC Semifinals. Fayette is a 77-70 winner over #2 PSU Greater Allegheny. The winner of the semfinal game will advance to the PSUAC Championship on Sunday at the Bryce Jordan Center (University Park) at 1:30 PM.
