Women's Basketball Improves to 10-2 with 83-58 Win Over PSU DuBois

BETHLEHEM, PA (Jan. 14, 2017) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team improved to 10-2 overall and 5-0 in PSUAC play with a 83-58 victory over visiting PSU DuBois Saturday evening at Stabler Arena during a Winter White Out promotional event hosted by Penn State Lehigh Valley.

Lehigh Valley jumped out to a 19-14 first quarter lead but DuBois would keep it close trailing 32-27 at the half. Lehigh Valley came out of the gates on fire in the 3rd quarter outscoring DuBois 31-16 to take a 63-43 lead going into the 4th quarter, but behind the hot shooting of Hannah Bankes (3-5 from 3 in the 2nd half), inside play by Kereece Seuren and the driving by Andrea Watkins kept DuBois at bay.

Andrea Watkins led all scorers with 21 points. Kereece Seuren came off the bench to contribute a season-high 20 points. Hannah Bankes recorded 16 points and Gia Erie chipped in with 12 points.

Lehigh Valley will be right back at it on Monday, January 16th to host PSUAC opponent PSU Scranton at 6 PM at Cedar Crest College.
