Women's Basketball Cruises Past Summit 75-26

CLARKS SUMMIT, PA (Nov. 21, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley opened the first quarter with a 26-7 lead and never looked back cruising to a 75-26 victory over non-conference opponent Clarks Summit University. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 2-0 on the season.

The game started with a 15 point run by Lehigh Valley, led by Hannah Bankes and Ashley Gordon. Despite Summit's 2nd quarter efforts, Lehigh Valley took a 38-13 halftime lead. The second half proved no different as Lehigh Valley lead in each of the quarters.

Four players were in double figures for Lehigh Valley led by senior Ashley Gordon with 20 points. Freshman Ebony Sanders poured in 15 points and a team-high 7 rebounds. Junior Hannah Bankes recorded 12 points and classmate Andrea Watkins chipped in with 11 points. 

Lehigh Valley will host their first home opener this Saturday, Nov. 26th against visiting non-conference opponent Keystone College at 1 PM, followed by the Men's game at 3 PM.  Both games will be played at Cedar Crest College.
