Gordon's 35 Points Propels Lehigh Valley Past Central Penn, 99-36

ALLENTOWN, PA (February 13, 2016) - Junior Ashley Gordon recorded a career-high 35 points to help Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball to its 16th win of the season defeating visiting Central Penn College, 99-36, Saturday afternoon at Cedar Crest College. 

Lehigh Valley blew open the game from opening tip taking a commanding 46-10 halftime lead.  The second half would prove no different, outscoring the visitors 53-26. 

Lehigh Valley had five players in double digit scoring and two players record double-doubles. Gordon led the way with 35 points including 5 for 8 from three and going 4 for 4 from foul line. Freshman Gia Erie had a monster game inside, scoring 20 points and pulling in 12 rebounds. Freshman Lizzy Leiby recorded 20 points and hauled in 10 boards. Sophomore Hannah Bankes contributed 12 points and junior Nikita Brady chipped in with 10 points. Sophomore Kereece Seuren grabbed 12 rebounds. 

Lehigh Valley finished the regular season 16-6 and 11-3 in PSUAC action.  The women will host the 1st round of the PSUAC tournament this Wednesday, February 17th as the #3 seed and will face #6 Penn State Wilkes Barre at 5 PM at Cedar Crest College.
