Women's Basketball Pounces on PSU York, 91-57

MANHEIM, PA (February 2, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team routed Penn State York, 91-57, in a PSUAC match-up, Tuesday evening at Spooky Nook Sports. Lehigh Valley improves to 12-5 overall and 9-2 in conference. With 3 conference games remaining, Lehigh Valley is looking to secure a home playoff game for the PSUAC playoffs starting on February 17th.

Lehigh Valley came out on top in each of the four quarters, shooting an impressive 75% from beyond the arc, and 48% from the field compared to York's shooting of 29% from the three, and 32% from the field. 

Four players scored in double digits for Lehigh Valley, Sophomore guard Andrea Watkins led with 31 points, shooting 5-5 from three. Freshman Elizabeth Leiby posted a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Junior Ashley Gordon was just shy of a double-double with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Sophomore Hannah Bankes contributed 12 points and sophomore Kereece Seuren added 6 points and 10 rebounds.

Lehigh Valley will travel this weekend to face off against Penn State Fayette on Saturday February 6th at 3pm and Penn State DuBois on Sunday at 1pm.
