Women's Basketball Drops 1st Conference Game to PSU Brandywine

ALLENTOWN, PA (January 20, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team suffered their first PSUAC loss this season to visiting Penn State Brandywine, 74-68, Wednesday night at Cedar Crest College.  Brandywine snapped Lehigh Valley's 7 game win streak.  Lehigh Valley drops to 9-4 on the season and 6-1 in PSUAC play. 

Lehigh Valley held a 28-25 haltime lead but gave up 49 points in the 2nd half and shot 21-34 from the free throw line to hand the win to Brandywine.  

Sophomore Andrea Watkins lead Lehigh Valley with a game-high 27 points. Junior Ashley Gordon contributed 17 points. Gia Erie had a game-high 13 rebounds.  

Lehigh Valley will host Penn State Greater Allegheny this Saturday, January 23 at Stabler Arena on the campus of Lehigh University.  The women will tip-off at 1 PM and men will tip-off at 3 PM. Please check back to our athletic site for game postponements.
