Women's Basketball Selected 3rd in PSUAC Preseason Coaches Poll

CENTER VALLEY, PA (Nov. 13, 2015) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Women's Basketball team was selected by PSUAC Women's Basketball coaches to finish 3rd out of 12 teams in PSUAC preseason poll.

The team is lead by 2nd year Head Coach Lorie Khalil (Moravian College '03). The team returns 4 players from last years squad that finished 17-6 overall, advanced to the PSUAC semi-finals, and qualified for the programs first ever bid to the USCAA National Tournament, advancing to the final four before losing to eventual National Champion Penn State Beaver.

Sophomore Andrea Watkins (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus High School) returns after leading the PSUAC in scoring at 19.2 points per game as a freshman. Watkins was also named PSUAC Newcomer of the Year, PSUAC 1st Team All-Conference and USCAA All-American. PSUAC All-Conference 2nd team performer sophomore Brenna Dosedlo (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom High School) returns for the Lions.  Junior Ashley Gordon (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom High School) and sophomore Kereece Seuren (Telford, PA/Christopher Dock High School) round out the returners for Lehigh Valley.

The Lions will be counting on newcomers to make an immediate impact.  Sophomore transfer Nicole Amann (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty High School), freshman Lizzy Leiby (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine Heights High School), freshman Gia Erie (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom High School) and freshman Llaci Henry (Miami, FL/Miami Beach High School) will see considerable action.
