Men's Soccer Gets 1st Win in Program History

WILKES BARRE, PA (Sept. 19, 2018) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Soccer Coach Abe Mamari and team made school history with their 1st ever win in program history over PSUAC opponent PSU Wilkes Barre, 3-2, Wednesday afternoon in Wilkes Barre.  The program spent an entire year as a club team with a limited schedule before becoming fully intercollegiate this season. The team dropped 2 non-conference games before picking up their first win ever.

Wilkes Barre started the game on the board first but then Lehigh Valley came back with 3 straight goals. The first came at the 22:30 mark by CJ Semet assisted by Matt Miller, the second came from Majed Salama at the 50 minute mark assisted by CJ Semet. Patrick Reilly scored the 3rd goal off a deflection for Lehigh Valley at the 60:15 mark.  Wilkes Barre would score again at 65:09 mark but that would not be enough as Lehigh Valley held on for the victory.

Lehigh Valley will travel to LCCC for their make-up game on Friday for a 3:30 PM kick-off.
