Men's Basketball Falls to King's College (PA)

WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 11, 2021) - The King's College men's basketball team shot 42.1 percent from the floor on their way to a dominating 91-49 win over Penn State Lehigh Valley on Thursday evening in McGrane Gymnasium. The Lions fell to 1-2 on the season.

The Monarchs came out firing early, leading 12-0 before Penn State Lehigh Valley got on the board with 15:11 left in the opening half. The Nittany Lions pulled within single digits, 15-6, with 12:42 to go, but the Monarchs continued to build their advantage, leading by as much as 19, 38-19. Neither team could score in the final minute of play as King's took the 38-19 lead into the halftime break.

King's continued to cruise through this game, opening the second half on a 20-7 run capped off by a King's three pointer. The Monarchs never looked back, as they posted their largest lead of the game of 46 points, 87-41, on a pair of free throws with 2:58 to play in the game before cruising to the 91-49 final score.

Dajour Douglas led the Nittany Lions with eight points off the bench, while Travis Biney recorded a game-high 10 rebounds.

Penn State Lehigh Valley will open up PSUAC play when they travel to PSU Mont Alto on Tuesday for 8 PM tip-off.
