Men's Basketball Downs PSU Schuylkill, 77-75, in Final Minute

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA (Dec. 5, 2018) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Basketball team had a series of great plays down the stretch to give the LV Lions a 77-75 win over PSUAC opponent PSU Schuylkill Wednesday evening in Schuylkill Haven. Schuylkill was leading 75-71 with 1:07 remaining in the game. Jeremiah Jenkins missed jump shot led to a Brandon Purrone offensive rebound and pass to James Middleton to cut the deficit 75-73 with 49 seconds remaining. A turnover by Schuylkill lead to an Eric Gainor jumper with 39 seconds left to tie the game at 75. Two consecutive turnovers by Schuylkill lead to the game winning shot by Jeremiah Jenkins  with 3 seconds left in the game.

Jenkins lead Lehigh Valley with 18 points and James Middleton contributed 16 points. Eric Johnson and Brandon Purrone added 12 points and 11 points for Lehigh Valley.  With the win, Lehigh Valley improves 3-2 overall and 2-1 in PSUAC play.  Lehigh Valley has 2 more PSUAC games to close out the first semester of play.

The LV Lions will travel to PSU Hazleton this Friday for an 8 PM tip-off.
