ALLENTOWN, PA (January 7, 2017) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Basketball team shot 55% from the field in route to a 101-82 victory over non-conference visiting opponent SUNY ESF, Saturday afternoon at Cedar Crest College. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 7-5.
Lehigh Valley jumped out to a 48-30 halftime lead and never looked back. Shooting 10-22 from three for a season high 45% compared to only 32% from three for SUNY ESF.
Lehigh Valley had four players score 19 points a piece; Tarvis Gilbert, Jordan Young, Othneil Nyamekya who also added 11 rebounds and Shane Schmidt who shot 5-10 from 3. Sekou Mangassabou added 10 points.
Lehigh Valley will return to action this Tuesday, January 10 when they take on visiting Davis College part of a women's & men's doubleheader at Cedar Crest College with the women tipping off at 5 PM followed by men at 7 PM.
