Men's Basketball Wins 3rd Straight at PSU Wilkes-Barre

DALLAS, PA (Dec. 9, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Basketball won its 3rd straight game against PSUAC host PSU Wilkes-Barre, 71-69, Friday night in Dallas. With the win, Lehigh Valley improves to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

Lehigh Valley held a slight edge at halftime 31-29 but came out on fire to open the 2nd half to lead by 18 with 12:54 to go. Wilkes-Barre would not back down and would go on a run themselves to take the lead by 2 with 3:39 remaining in the game. Late baskets by AJ Molettiere, Jordan Young and Tarvis Gilbert would withstand the run by Wilkes-Barre. 

Tarvis Gilbert would register a team-high 18 points. Jordan Young contributed 14 points and Sekou Mangassabou added 10 points.

Lehigh Valley will have some time off before getting back on the court at the end of December when they travel to Moravian College to take on the Greyhounds in the Roosevelts 21st Christmas Tournament on Friday, December 30th and Saturday, December 31st against Montclair State University.
