Men's Basketball Runs Past Penn College, 122-111

ALLENTOWN, PA (Nov. 26, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Men's Basketball team improved to 2-1 with a programs best ever 122 point output in a thrilling victory over visiting Penn College of Technology Saturday afternoon at Cedar Crest College.

Penn College came in with a very fast game plan; subbing 5 players in and out every few minutes and shooting early in the shot clock, the pressure and intensity rattled Lehigh Valley in the first half trailing by 10 at halftime 61-51. Lehigh Valley would not back down and went on a 12-0 run to start the 2nd half and never looked back, scoring 71 points in the second half. 

Six players were in double figures for Lehigh Valley led by Shane Schmidt with 27 points, connecting 7-8 from three. Sekou Mangassabou slammed down 20 points with some monster dunks. Jonathan Buie 18 points, AJ Molettiere 14 points, Othniel Nyamekye 13 points, Jordan Young 12 points and James Middleton 11 points rounded out the double digit scoring fest for the Lions.

Lehigh Valley will look to continue their win streak when they host PSU York in the first conference game this Tuesday for a 7 PM tip-off at Cedar Crest College.
