CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 19, 2016) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Athletics Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Head Men's and Women's Cross Country coach, Jeffrey Breidinger. Breidinger is entering his first season as Penn State Lehigh Valley's Men's & Women's Head Cross Country Coach. Breidinger is a graduate of DeSales University with a Bachelors of Science in Sport Management. He was a member of the Men's Track and Field program at DeSales University and was a member of the program's first Outdoor Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship in 2011.
Before coaching at Penn State Lehigh Valley, Breidinger coached at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology as the Head Men's & Women's Cross Country Coach. In 2015 he produced two 1st-Team All-Conference Runners and finished 2nd as team in the EPAC Championship Meet. Breidinger's team not only improved on the course but in the books as 80% of his team made dean's list honors for the college.
Breidinger also served as an assistant track & field coach at York College of Pennsylvania as the Head Men's and Women's Throws Coach. In Breidinger's first season at York he was able to produce new personal records among all his throwers in the program, which resulted in every thrower qualifying for conferences. Breidinger's top performer in 2014-15 includes a Capital Athletic Conference Champion and an NCAA Division III National qualifier in the men's javelin. In 2015-2016, Breidinger produced another All-Conference athlete and new recorder holder in the Indoor Season for the Spartans.
